Advancing Safety and Operational Excellence
Held from 19–20 May 2026 in Johannesburg, South Africa, immediately following the AFRAA Convention, the African Aviation Safety & Operations Summit brought together aviation professionals committed to enhancing safety performance and operational excellence across the continent. The summit was organised by AFRAA in partnership with the Flight Safety Foundation (FSF).
The programme featured expert presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and technical sessions covering aviation safety management, operational best practices, emerging risks, and industry trends. Participants exchanged practical insights and explored ways to strengthen safety cultures within airlines, airports, maintenance organisations, and aviation service providers operating across Africa.
